We are looking for a registered veterinary technician or experienced veterinary assistant to join our practice on a full-time basis. Our ideal candidate has previous experience in phlebotomy, IV catheterization, and anesthesia monitoring for surgical and/or dental procedures. Weekends and holidays are required on a rotating basis. Our ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, a desire to stay busy and engaged, a sense of the "big picture," and strong team working skills. Other responsibilities include: - Helping maintain the flow of patients
- Communicating with the veterinarian and vet techs
- Carrying out or setting up procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance
- Adhering to hospital standards that keep pets safe, and the treatment areas, exam rooms and labs clean and organized
- Mentoring other members of the hospital team
