Externship- Learn and Play

Having participated in externships, I understand the full impact and value they have on advancement of a student's education and jump start on your career.  The externship is an opportunity to become familiar with being an everyday general practitioner, managing multiple cases, working with staff, and calling the shots.  Cases will be seen similar to at MSU with supervision provided, feedback given, and education taking place.  Surgery and dentistry will be based on comfort level but full participation would be expected based on comfort level.  Each extern will be encouraged to maximize this opportunity to fully engage in daily practice, enhance technical skills, expand surgical skills, and engage in two way educational discussions/rounds.   Possibility for permanent employment are possible as well. 

Our practice is located in vibrant, beautiful, and fun Ocean Springs, MS literally 1/2 mile to beaches.  Come learn and take advantage of all the great outdoor and indoor activities available to you on the beautiful MS Gulf Coast. 

Housing is not provided at this time but a $250 per week stipend is provided to help offset housing/living expenses.
