Currently seeking an associate veterinarian for our small animal veterinary hospital located in Durham, North Carolina.
We are an AAHA accredited 2-doctor hospital that is locally owned. Our staff is Fear Free Certified, and we care about the impressions we make on both clients and pets. We will be moving into a new facility in 2024, and we are looking to expand our team.
Maybe you’ve tried working at a corporate practice to only be disappointed by things like lack of mentorship, lack of transparency, lack of ability to properly work up cases, and inability to use your paid time off. Maybe the private practice you were working at sold to a corporation and it just isn’t the same type of environment anymore. Maybe you are tired of being on-call for boarding pets and want your off-time to be just for you. Broadway Veterinary Hospital is privately owned with no intention of selling to a corporation. We do not offer boarding, and we do not ask our staff to be on-call nights or weekends. This hospital is part of the community and wants to stay that way for many years to come!
Our perfect candidate is a compassionate and understanding veterinarian who has empathy for pets and their people, as well as fellow team members. If you are a new grad or have not been in clinical practice recently, a mentorship program is available. We are a group of pet professionals that strives to give each and every one of our clients a pleasant experience from start to finish–do you feel the same way about the work that you provide?
Do you enjoy educating both the clients and your team members? Are you a stellar communicator that works hard to advocate for the importance of preventative care and goes above and beyond to meet your patients’ needs? If so, we think you could be a great addition to our team.
Our needs for an associate veterinarian include:
License and be eligible to practice Veterinary Medicine in the state of North Carolina
Excellent computer software skills and proficient in electronic medical records
Work closely with our clients and their pets
Provide patients with a high level of patient care while thoroughly working up cases
Excellent surgical techniques and dental skills
Capable of leading a team of technicians
Have a strong work ethic, with the ability to work seamlessly as a team, as well as independently
Possess strong people skills, with a specialized focus on the quality of care that provides client satisfaction to the highest degree
Clear and effective communication, with both clients and fellow team members
A commitment to superior client services in all aspects of your job
Be respectful and courteous to all team members
