Battleground Veterinary Hospital is seeking a second veterinarian to practice full or part time in the Greensboro, NC area. We seek an experienced veterinarian who enjoys practicing compassionate care, and who genuinely cares about the clients as well as their animals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with practicing outstanding medicine, with or without any desire to do surgery. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
We are a low drama, high quality of life, dog and cat only practice. We start appointments at 8am, and we book our last appointment at 4pm. Appointments are booked for 30 minutes in most cases. We close the hospital at 5pm. The doctor may stay late finishing records and call backs, but that is based on personal preference. Nights and weekends we are not on call, allowing you to live a normal life.
We have digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray (cacoon unit), an in house Abaxis unit, and limited ultrasound capabilities. We use IDEXX as our reference lab. Surgery is limited to dentistry and soft tissue. Occasionally a board certified surgeon comes to preform a TPLO if needed. The staff is unusually well trained and fun to work with.
Applicants must be licensed to practice in NC, and have a valid DEA license.
Battleground Veterinary Hospital has been working under its current leadership for over 17 years. We are a small animal hospital serving the Greensboro area. We are a privately owned "dog and cat only" practice. Our hours are M-F 7:30am-5pm. Our appointments start at 8am. We take about 1 and 1/2 hours for lunch, then start back at 2pm. Our focus is on medicine and surgery, and we do not routinely do grooming or boarding. Nights and weekends our emergencies are sent to one of 3 local emergency clinics. We have a fantastic staff and many great clients. We have reached our capacity with one veterinarian and are currently looking for another veterinarian so we can take care of more people.
