What you’ll do:

• Work alongside experienced veterinarians, board-certified internist, surgeons, and radiologist, getting hands-on experience with real patients.
• Assist in medical procedures and surgeries, and observe how it’s done like a pro.
• Get your paws dirty with tasks like taking vital signs, collecting samples, and giving medications.
• Communicate like a boss with clients and team members.
• Participate in rounds, case discussions, and other cool learning opportunities.

What we’re looking for:

• You’re currently in an accredited veterinary program, and your passion for animals is through the roof!
• Your communication skills are on point, and you thrive in a team environment.
• You’ve got the basics down when it comes to veterinary medicine and procedures.
• You’re available to commit to a 2,4,6, or 8 week externship – let’s make it happen!
• You can handle some heavy lifting and animal wrangling when needed.

Animal Medical Hospital is located in the Echo Hills neighborhood of Charlotte, roughly 10 minutes outside of Uptown Charlotte and 45 minutes north of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
