We are thrilled to extend an invitation to passionate aspiring veterinarians for a Small Animal Veterinary Externship opportunity, thoughtfully crafted to provide a supportive and educational environment in the picturesque city of Granbury, offering hands-on experience and exposure to a diverse array of small animal cases.
Responsibilities:
Shadow and assist our experienced veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and procedures.
Participate in patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining medical records.
Learn about diagnostic tools and techniques such as radiology and laboratory diagnostics.
Engage with clients, offering education and guidance on pet care and wellness.
Contribute to the overall operation and organization of the clinic.
Currently enrolled in a veterinary program or pursuing a related degree.
Passion for small animal healthcare and a strong desire to learn.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Acton Veterinary Group has 2 hospitals in Granbury, Texas. Acton Animal Hospital and Morgan Street Animal Hospital are located on either side of Lake Granbury. Granbury is a small town with all the amenities a big town has. We are 30 minutes from Fort Worth and 45 minutes from Dallas, but everything you need is right here in town.
