Experienced full-time Associate Veterinarian position available at a privately owned, primary care practice located in the town of Finksburg in Carroll County, Maryland. Co-ownership potential is available for the right candidate. Rolling Hills Animal Hospital is a progressive, paperless, small animal practice where we enjoy all the usual bells and whistles such as digital x-ray and digital dental x-ray as well as a fully integrated IDEXX in-house laboratory. We utilize Cornerstone Software to seamlessly go from charting to lab results to client communication. Our support staff is caring, knowledgeable and most of them have been with the practice for over 7 years and are always eager to learn more. We pride ourselves on high quality medicine, excellent customer service and making everyone at our practice feel like family. If you are looking for a fun, laid-back environment while doing what you do best, look no further. We enjoy our down time to the best of our ability. The annual holiday party is a highlight of the year where we let it all go and enjoy the family that is Rolling Hills Animal Hospital. We also do team building activities. Some activities we’ve enjoyed were a crab feast and a behind the scenes tour of the Baltimore Aquarium. Our hours of operation are 8am to 6pm most days of the week with later hours on Tuesdays (until 8pm) and Saturdays 8am to 1pm. We are open to adjusting the schedule for an incoming veterinarian. NO after-hour emergency calls are necessary as we have Emergency and Urgent Care facilities nearby. Specialists such as Orthopedics, Internal Medicine and Cardiologists are close by, and we refer to them when the need arises.

Finksburg has a small town feel that is less than an hour away from urban hot spots such as Camden Yards, M&T Bank Stadium and the Live! Casino in Baltimore. Travel 45 minutes north to Gettysburg Battlefield and the Outlets if Civil War history and shopping is your thing. The museums and historical sites of Washington DC are just a short drive away as well. The mountains of Western Maryland (Appalachian) and the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean (Atlantic Coastal Plain) hug the state providing all the things that you could want within one state. From beaches to city life to farmland to mountains & lakes (Deep Creek), Maryland has it all.
We offer a comprehensive benefit package (see below) and base salary of $100,000-$115,000 with Prosal and no negative accrual.
