Tufts VETS is recruiting a Chief of Critical Care to join our Level I VECCS certified veterinary hospital. The position offers the opportunity to provide care to a diverse array of inpatients across multiple specialties while also leading an emergency and critical care department. The ECC teams consists of 2 criticalists and 8 experienced ER doctors
Our rotating intern class will grow from 4 to 6 in 2023-2024
Our 25,000-square foot hospital recently underwent renovations and currently houses a large ICU, digital radiographs, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, endoscopy, echocardiology suite, blood bank, telemetry, mechanical ventilator, in-house NOVA and IDEXX lab. There are currently 2 surgery suites with plans for a 3rd.
Partnership with the teaching hospital of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University provides resources including access to the diagnostic laboratory, library consortium, IT support, specialist consultation and more.

Tufts Veterinary Emergency Treatment & Specialties (Tufts VETS) is a 24-hour, specialty and emergency hospital located in Walpole, Massachusetts.
Join us – in a position that offers you the opportunity to care for critical care patients as well as urgent care ones, to interface with a range of specialists and to engage in teaching / mentoring of interns and veterinary students. Our 25,000-square foot hospital provides a large ICU, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, endoscopy, a blood bank, and two surgery suites and we are growing! Tufts VETS has 13 board-certified specialists in internal medicine, emergency and critical care, surgery, anesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, ophthalmology, dermatology, cardiology and oncology. Additionally, we have 7 post-graduate trained emergency doctors, and 6 rotating interns. We maintain a strong affiliation with Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. VECCS Level I Facility.
