Position Summary: The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University invites applications for specialty faculty positions in Anesthesia / Surgery / Radiology / Oncology / Dermatology / Cardiology / ECC / Ophthalmology / Neurology. These are full-time, 12-month academic positions at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Appointments may be in a tenure or clinical track depending on the qualifications and goals of the successful candidate.
Candidates must possess a DVM or equivalent degree, be eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey, and board-certified or board eligible in their respective discipline. The successful candidate will be a founding faculty member of the SSVM and play an integral role in the development and delivery of an integrated veterinary curriculum constructed around organ systems. Service duties include clinical service for the SSVM teaching hospital. This state-of-the-art facility located on Rowan's West Campus provides both primary and specialized care for companion, food, and fiber animals throughout New Jersey and surrounding states.
Creative scholarly activity is expected to advance the discipline of veterinary anesthesia/analgesia though the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, but the extent will depend on the candidate’s appointment and may include collaborative or independent research. The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine is located on the Glassboro, New Jersey west campus, 22 miles southeast of Philadelphia. The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine plans to admit its first class of DVM students in 2025, pending accreditation approval. Facilities will include an academic teaching facility aimed at the delivery of pre-clinical training, a small animal teaching hospital, and a research facility.

Graduates of DVM programs not accredited by the AVMA who are board-certified in a ABVS specialty may be eligible for licensure to practice at the veterinary school.

The Rowan University School of Veterinary Medicine will be the first in New Jersey.
Once accredited, the school will offer New Jersey’s first Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, as well as related degree programs designed to shape the future of veterinary medicine and animal health care in the state.
