Meet Our Doctors:
Dr. Scheinberg - In 1994, Dr. Scheinberg started his career in a mixed animal practice in Frederick, Maryland. In 1996, he and his wife, Dr. Cheryl Holmes, followed their dream and opened their own practice in Glenwood, Maryland.
Dr. Holmes - Practices small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Hospital at Glenwood, which she and her husband, Dr. Stuart Scheinberg, opened in 1996. She grew up in a small town in southern Maine, earned her BS from Cornell University in 1988, and her DVM from the University of Tennessee in 1994, with a special interest in internal medicine and animal behavior.
Dr. Wysocki - Grew up in Florida, earning her BS in biology from Florida State University and her DVM from the University of Florida in 2012. After veterinary school, she worked as a large animal veterinarian in Central Florida and treated small animals through a local humane society.
Dr. Waktins - Earned her BS in Pre-Veterinary Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2014 and her DVM from Ross University in 2018, completing her clinical year at the University of Tennessee. With a special interest in equine and camelids, she practiced as an equine vet for a year before joining our practice, where she looks forward to treating both large and small animals.
Our hospital is a proud member of the EverVet family of hospitals. EverVet’s community is one of vision, energy, collaboration and support – we’re like-minded professionals who are driven by the desire to truly make a difference for pets and pet parents. We lift each other up and are not afraid to challenge convention and create a unique space in the veterinary acquisition market. To hear our Director of Business Development, Danny Choi, say it – “we’re good people who are looking to work alongside good people” – it’s as simple as that!
We recognize that the veterinary profession is changing rapidly, but our entrepreneur-guided ownership model and commitment to building healthy, thriving practices has led to industry leading DVM and support staff retention.
